David Arthur Barnes, 60, of Wilmington NC was cleared of all felony charges today. The District Attorney dismissed all insurance fraud and forgery charges filed against Mr Barnes. According to statements, the charges were not properly investigated before being filed, and should not have been filed. Two witnesses were identified as those being in a former relationship with Mr Barnes and unreliable. The female who initially contacted NCDOI was found to have been charged with multiple counts of assault, cyber-stalking, harrassment and violation of no-contact orders issued to protect Mr Barnes. She was found guilty and placed on probation.
